Our trip to Michigan...

We went to Michigan to see Jeff's family for a little over a week. We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house even though they were in Florida (we get to see them over Easter, though!) It was Drew's first time meeting everyone and Tyler had so much fun playing with his cousins! It's so nice that it's only a 4 hour drive now. The kids/dogs did great in the car. We hit a little bit of traffic when we got into town on the way there... and that was when Drew decided he had had enough of the car! We didn't hear a thing from anyone on the way home- and we didn't make any stops (either way)! It couldn't have been an easier drive. :) The weather was so nice while we were there. Tyler got to play outside quite a bit and we spent a lot of time over at Jason and Laura's house with all the kids. Tyler had a great time with all the kids and really loved Megan! It was so cute to see him with her! :) Wish we didn't have to leave but we can't wait for our next trip! We miss them already!

Visiting the Easter Bunny... :(

While my mom was here we took Tyler and Drew to see the Easter Bunny. Although Tyler was crying the whole time, it was an improvement from Santa. At least he sat there and didn't kick his feet trying to get off the entire time. Poor Santa! He liked the Easter Bunny from afar, just not enough to sit on his lap. There was a play area at the mall that we went to and after he was done playing, he ran back over to the Easter bunny and stood at the fence waving at him and smiling. Not too close though!! Drew didn't seem to notice he was on a bunny's lap! :)

Nana visits...

Nana came to visit for a little over a week and we had so much fun with her! She wanted to come for a visit before Kristin had the baby and was nice enough to come a little early to watch Drew while Jeff and I took Tyler to the Fresh Beat Band concert... And Jeff was going to be in Florida for 4 nights for work so she gave me some company and LOTS of help! Tyler had a cold most of the time she was here so we were stuck at home but we did go out to eat a few times and went to see the Easter Bunny. We LOVE having her here and are just sad to see her go!! We can't wait for our trip in June!!

Fresh Beat Band Concert!

Yesterday afternoon we took Tyler to the Fresh Beat Band concert! He was pretty good but we did end up leaving early. They started about 25 minutes late, then played for about 20/25 minutes and then took an intermission that lasted about 20 minutes. Well, during the intermission he got down and was running around so he did not want to come back to the seat and just sit. We made it through the first song after intermission and then left when he started to have a meltdown. It wasn't the best timing- the show started at 2pm so he didn't get a nap (he fell asleep in the car about 5 minutes before we got there) and he also had a runny nose/cold. We still had a great time! It was fun to watch him when they first came on the stage- he just sat and stared. We still aren't sure if he knew they were live and really on the stage. As we were leaving, there were a few TVs in the lobby and he wanted to stay and watch them on the TV?!!? Being one of the first to leave made getting out of the parking lot very easy!! :)

Making cookies with Mommy...

Tyler helped me make chocolate chip cookies the other night. He loved dumping the ingredients into the bowl and kept saying, "More"... Now he is enjoying eating all the cookies!

His favorite expression right now... "GO??" He loves to hide things and ask, where did the things "go"?!?

"Mmmmmmm"....

Announcenment and more...

Well, we finally got around to getting the announcements done! Definitely took longer this time around.

Around the house...

Tyler is definitely a climber and has a thing about getting into stuff- whether it's boxes, his toy chest, the refrigerator, the cabinets, you name it and he tries!! We can't take our eyes off of him for a second! We just put a lock on the downstairs toilet because he has been playing in it one too many times! I swear, he is gone for like 30 seconds and we find him splashing around in the toilet. We would just close the door but it's a powder room and has a pocket door so we can't. There is nothing under the sink in there so this is one of his favorite hiding places. He will close the doors on the cabinets and just sit in there, in the dark- little strange!!
