Trip to Orlando

Jeff, Tyler and I went to Orlando last week to go to dinner with Jeff's roommate and good friend from ASU, his wife and their 2 1/2 year old daughter. We had a great time... it was so good to see them and finally meet Olivia. She's adorable. Tyler loves his Mickey rattle- thank you Olivia!!

Tyler was so good in the car... he didn't make a peep the whole way there and only fussed for a few minutes on the way home. So far that has been his longest trip in the car. We only hope he does that well on our drive to Michigan. :) We leave tomorrow and will be gone for about 7 weeks. It will be an interesting drive with Tyler AND Keely & Bella. I'm so glad Jeff has agreed to stay in a hotel this time. Although I am not really looking forward to the drive, we are so excited to see Jeff's family and friends!

Good Morning!

Tyler seems to be a morning person so far (he doesn't get that from me). I love seeing him smile when I go to get him out of the pack 'n play when he wakes up!

July 2010

Here are some pictures that were taken this month. Tyler is 8 weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe it! He is getting so much bigger and doing so much more. He is smiling a lot and "talking" to us more. Last night Jeff was talking to him and made a "cooing" noise and Tyler made it right back. We know it was just luck, but it definitely gave us a laugh. :)

First Shots....

Tyler had his 2 month appointment last week. Although he wasn't quite 2 months old, we went a little early because his doctor was going to be out of town for a week and we were splitting the shots into 2 appointments. Since we are leaving for Michigan on the 30th of July, we had to get them started last week. She said they can be given as early as 6 weeks old. The first 2 pictures were taken before we left for the appointment and the last 2 were taken after we got home. He was pretty tired and a little cranky. He did pretty well at the appointment (we were there for 2 hours) and cried the worst when they pricked his foot for a blood sample. His iron level was low so they had to prick him twice. We now have to give him medicine for that and he hates it. He has now learned to spit it out. The worst part is he has to have it twice a day. He weighed 12.8 pounds and was 22.1 inches long. We go back on Monday the 26th for the rest of his shots. :(

Grandma & Grandpa Rodwell's Visit

My parents were here for a little over a week. We had a few visits with Tyler's Great-Grandpa Sigloch, went out to dinner, Dad & Jeff golfed, Mom & I shopped and we relaxed at the house. It was so great to see them... it's definitely hard being so far away from everyone. We are looking forward to visiting them in October and Tyler will finally get to meet his Auntie Kris , Uncle Tim & Cousin Kenzie! We can't wait! :)

Happy 4th of July!!

It might just be impossible to get a good picture of all three of them... This was the best one I got before Tyler started crying. Hopefully this doesn't mean he is going to take after his Daddy- Jeff doesn't like getting his picture taken. :) I am so excited that I am actually getting some pictures of Tyler with a smile/grin on his face... The second picture was taken last night after we had some friends over- Tyler had a long day and was exhausted! :)
