Happy Halloween!!

Our little Dalmatian Puppy...
Tyler was a good sport about wearing his costume this year. It was a little warm out so we didn't leave it on him very long. We didn't go trick-or-treating but he helped pass out candy for a little while. We didn't get a whole lot of trick-or-treaters so once again we have a lot of candy left over!! Hopefully Jeff will take it to work or we may not stop eating it!
Before everyone starting coming...
Getting ready for bed.

The Pumpkin Patch!

We went to a pumpkin patch in Temecula while we were in California. It was raining off and on and a little cool out but we still had fun. It was Tyler's first time at a pumpkin patch. Doesn't it look like he thoroughly enjoyed himself?!? :)
Finally got a smile...
Nana & Papa with Tyler
At the house before we left...
We never did get a good picture of the two of them. :(
Peek-a-Boo!!
Visiting the petting zoo at the pumpkin patch. That turkey followed us around the whole time. Mackenzie thought it was scary and I might have to agree with her... :)
Feeding the goats- they were pretty cute!

Our California Trip... October 2010

Mackenzie loves to give Tyler hugs and kisses and even though it may not look like it in this picture... he loves her and always has a smile for her!

My best friend from ASU, Lindsay, and her daughter, Kate, came to see us at my parent's house while we were in California. It was so good to see her and meet Kate... I can't believe it's taken 2 years to see her!

Cheese!!
Tyler & Mackenzie were opening Halloween presents from Nana and Papa!
We finally got a Rodwell family picture with everyone!
Kris and I with our babies...

Nana & Papa with their grandbabies!
Tyler misses all the attention he got from Mackenzie. We can't wait for them to visit us in Florida in December!
Future American Airlines pilot like Papa?!?
Papa on his way to work...
BATHTIME!
Tyler was very entertained by Mackenzie in the bathtub. She didn't want to take a bath until she saw Tyler was going to take one. Baths just aren't the same at home by himself. :(

Flying Home...

Our first flight together...
This was our plane from Ontario, Ca to Las Vegas... there were 7 passengers on the flight (including the three of us)! It was pretty weird. I wish our flight to Tampa was that empty- but it was full. The window seat next to me was the last seat taken!! I guess nobody wants to sit next to a baby... AND he was so good on every flight. The lady next to me kept saying what a good baby he was- guess she was glad she picked that seat over the middle in the row ahead of us- I couldn't believe she was contemplating it!

Visiting Daddy's Office

Tyler and I met Jeff at his office a few weeks ago and then went to lunch together. It was fun to see everyone in the office!

5 months old!

Tyler starting eating rice cereal a few weeks ago. He seemed to like it (at least what made it in his mouth). We had already been putting a teaspoon in his bottle before bed for about a month now. Our pediatrician recommended doing this since he wasn't sleeping very well. It really did seem to help but his eczema has been a lot worse lately so we decided to try not giving it to him to see if that helped. It's been a week now and we think his skin looks quite a bit better. I just realized today that he also hasn't had apple juice in a week. (The doctor had us give him a bottle with water and a little apple juice when he was taking his iron medication- thank goodness that's done). So, now we're not sure if it might be the rice cereal or the apple juice... we are going to give it another week or so and then try the rice cereal again. Poor guy- so many allergies in the family!
Tyler turned 5 months old on the 24th of October. I just weighed him and he is 16.5 lbs. He is such a big boy- everyone looks at him and thinks he is older than he is.

Going for a walk....

Tyler loves his belly!

I took this picture of Tyler this morning when I went to get him out of his crib. He is usually very happy in the morning and isn't crying but just making a lot of noise talking, etc... We don't want to jinx it but Tyler has had 3 good nights in a row as far as sleeping. He has been going to bed around 9pm, waking up once around 3am and then getting up around 8am (one morning he even slept until 9am!!) I think he likes sleeping on his belly. We always lay him down on his back but within an hour or two he has flipped to his belly. He will rarely stay on his back now when you lay him down anywhere. He seems to like sleeping on his belly but doesn't like to be on his belly for long when he's awake... and he still won't roll back to his back when he gets frustrated.
We are so excited that he has been sleeping so well at night but he isn't napping as well now(although he is napping as I write this). I think we are okay with less napping if that means more sleep at night. He is still napping but just not as long.
We are leaving for California on Friday so I hope he sleeps well there. We are so excited to see everyone! Tyler and I are going a few days before Jeff and then we will all go home together. I hope the plane ride is as good as the last one. :)

Tyler & Kyle

Here is a video we took of Kyle (15 months) and Tyler (3 months) while we were in Michigan. Kyle had these pajamas on one night and since I had the same ones for Tyler, Laura and I thought it would be cute to get a picture of them together. They are almost exactly one year apart (Kyle: May 18th) and (Tyler: May 24th).
AND we just found out Jason and Laura are having another BOY! She is due March 11th. So exciting!!

Go Lions!!

Tyler has been cheering for the Lions each week with Daddy but I don't think it's working because they have lost every week. :( Maybe this week will be different... we can hope!

Tyler had his 4 month check-up on the 27th of September... he weighed 15.2 lbs (58%) and was 24.9 inches long (51%). He has been sleeping better as well... 2 nights ago he slept from 9pm-2am and then until 7am. That has been his best night so far but hopefully we will have many more of those to come. He started rolling over (from front to back) on his 4 month birthday but hasn't been doing it lately. He now rolls from back to front almost instantly when you lay him down. He started this about a week ago. The first night was rough because he would roll to his belly and then wouldn't roll back so he would start crying... this happened about every hour it seemed. Now, he loves sleeping on his belly (maybe that's why he's sleeping better and longer). The doctor says she would like him sleeping on his back until he's 6 months but she said there's not much I can do about it. Hopefully he will start rolling back the other way very soon. I will put up the video of him rolling over when I finish the tape I am on and finalize the DVD. I can't upload anything until the DVD has been finalized and I just started that DVD. :(

We had to take him to the doctor this week because he was coughing a lot. The doctor said he has bronchitis and we have been doing breathing treatments with him twice a day. We went back yesterday and she said he sounds a lot better and we only need to do the breathing treatments if needed. He also has eczema and it seems to have gotten worse this week but she thinks it's due to the bronchitis. Hopefully that will clear up... we are trying some new lotions to see if that helps and only doing baths every other day. Poor guy- he LOVES the bath!

Dolphins...

Okay, so I know I've said Florida is not my favorite place (especially in the summer) but to get up and have dolphins swimming in your backyard is pretty amazing! I was out in the yard with the dogs a few mornings ago and heard some noise in the water... there were 2 dolphins swimming right next to our dock. Here is part of the video I took... even though you can't really see them very well, I thought I would try uploading this one since I am still working on editing videos and getting them on the blog...

California Trip-August 2010

Here is a video I took when I was in California visiting my family in August. Here is my first attempt at uploading a video... more to come if I can do it. :)
