I'm 9 months old today!

Tyler is 9 months old today. Here are 9 things that we love about Tyler (I am stealing this idea from a friend's blog :) )!
* Tyler LOVES to eat- especially finger foods... cheese puffs, yogurt melts, cheese, watermelon...
*He LOVES to walk with our help.
*Tyler loves going for walks with Keely & Bella.
*He is still scooting but not really crawling yet.
*Tyler loves carrots, sweet potatoes and mac 'n cheese.
*He loves to open and close anything he can.
*He has 6 teeth and is biting everything- especially when he's excited!
*Tyler loves Mickey Mouse and Elmo.
*He loves the Hot Dog Dance (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), Elmo Slide dance, Pat-a-Cake, Peek-a-Boo, 5 Little Monkeys

More pictures from yesterday's nap- when he woke up!

Video for Mackenzie

Jeff showed me how to make a slideshow video using photos and video clips so I did one for Mackenzie. She loves looking at pictures and I used some of her favorite songs. It was so much fun- can't wait to make some more. Here it is...

Sleeping Baby...

I couldn't resist taking a picture when he went down for his nap today!

A few favorites...

Tyler loves walking around the house (with help). One of his favorite places to walk to is the dog bowls in the kitchen. I usually don't let him play with the bowls but if he is down on the floor scooting he definitely tries his hardest to get to the bowls. The other day I let him go at it...
Hmmm....this looks fun!
She's actually letting me touch it this time!
I think I'll just dump it all out.
Here you go!
Keely and Bella loved that Tyler was throwing their food to them. I was surprised that the first thing he did was throw the food- I would have thought it would have gone straight to his mouth. I did have to end the fun when he did try to eat the dog food. I think I fished 2 out of his mouth. Yuck!
Another favorite thing.... he loves going over to the crates and opening and closing the doors. Actually, he likes to open and close anything he can get his hands on. Just recently he has decided that crawling in the crate is a lot of fun, too! We really don't use the crates anymore but haven't put them away. Tyler will be very disappointed when we do. It drives me crazy because when he finally gets out, he is usually covered in hair!
Now I can open and close the door from the inside, too! Bye-bye!!

Cheese Puffs!!

Tyler loves cheese puffs! Actually, he just really likes to eat! He loves to be able to pick up the food himself... he really likes puffs, yogurt melts & cheese puffs! He will grab as many as he can and shove them into his mouth so we can only put a couple of snacks on his tray at once. He also likes to eat pieces of banana and avocado. It's fun to be able to give him more of a variety of foods!
Who needs to clean the floor when you have Keely?!?.

Beach time!

We took Keely and Bella to the dog beach last weekend. The weather was great- 80 degrees and sunny! The water was a little cold but the dogs didn't seem to mind. Tyler loved being outside and watching all the dogs in the water!

A weekend away...

Jeff's sister, Kim, came to visit and stayed with Tyler for the weekend while Jeff and I went to Marco Island! This was the longest I had left Tyler so it was hard to leave him but we had a great time. It was nice to get away, just the two of us. Wish the weather had been better- it was pretty cold so we couldn't spend time at the pool like we had hoped. We walked around the island, shopped, ate and had a few drinks. :) We went to a place called Nacho Mama's the first day we got there. We ended up sitting at the bar for a few hours playing "Photo Hunt" since it was cold and raining out. It was great to be able to not rush a meal and just take our time and actually have a real conversation. Going out to eat just isn't the same anymore- but I still wouldn't trade it for a thing!
Tyler did great with Kim. It was so great to see her for a few days and so nice of her to come all the way from Michigan to stay with Tyler. We can't wait to see her and the rest of the family in Vegas in March!!

Snuggle Buddies...

Sometimes we feel bad because Keely and Bella don't get the attention they got before Tyler came. But, we can't feel too sorry for them... they have a pretty good life! Here they are snuggling on our bed (which most of the time they think is theirs). We are so glad we adopted them together- they are definitely buddies and love each other! Wish we knew the story of how they ended up at the shelter together. Just glad they were able to stay together!
Very spoiled dogs!

Keely decided she wanted to curl up in the sheets the other day. She has done this several times now.... it makes us laugh because it takes her forever to get into the perfect position and then she doesn't even stay there very long!

Trouble, Trouble!!

Tyler has 6 teeth now!... 4 on top and 2 on the bottom. I was at the doctor on the 24th of January (when Tyler was sick) and she commented on how he had 4 teeth already. A few days later, Jeff came home and asked when he got his 5th tooth. 5th tooth?!? That was news to me! Oops! Then, Jeff got home a few nights ago and asked when he got his 6th tooth. 6th tooth?!? I had no idea again... guess I had better pay more attention to that!
He loves his Daddy!
Tyler LOVES watermelon... but, boy what a mess he makes! He goes straight to the bath after dinner now. :)

Trouble, trouble... This "fun" game lasted quite awhile. I would put the movies back and he would clear the shelf... over and over again!

Tyler's version of crawling... it looks like so much work but we can't get him to crawl on all fours. He will get up on all fours and rock back and forth but when he starts to move he starts dragging himself across the floor again!

Hair, hair, EVERYWHERE!!

Tyler & Keely and the vacuum!!
I love our dogs but I don't love their hair... well I shouldn't say "their" hair, it's all Keely! I have to vacuum every other day and it's still everywhere!! I think it's bothering me even more now that Tyler is scooting around the floor. He's like a little mop- I pick him up and he's covered in white hair. Ughh!! You can't see very well, but this picture was taken after I had vacuumed today and Tyler had so many hairs on his clothes! I hope he doesn't have allergies to dogs because we definitely have a dog that sheds a lot!!
And Bella isn't in the picture because she is terrified of the vacuum!
