Tyler is 10 Months old!

Tyler is 10 months old today!
He is doing more and more everyday- We can't believe how fast things are happening!
*Tyler loves walking- he has taken 30 consecutive steps but still is quite wobbly at times. (We just got him his first pair of real shoes at Stride Rite... and his chubby little feet need a 5W but there is room to grow. I guess the little boy at the park was right- Tyler was practicing his walking and was falling every now and then. This little boy said, "Maybe he is falling because his feet are too fat"! I had to laugh...)
*He now lets go of things and just starts walking off by himself (although we are right behind him).
*He still loves to eat- his favorites: cheese, blueberry yogurt and raspberries
*He also loves mac n' cheese, carrots and sweet potatoes.
*Tyler loves water: he loves his baths and loves going swimming.
*He is obsessed with fans- when we ask, "where's the fan", he looks up at the ceiling. He likes to pull the string and turn it on and off.
*Tyler loves Keely and Bella: they always get a huge smile in the morning when he first sees them.
*He climbed the entire flight of stairs today by himself and looked very proud of himself! (We have a gate at the top of the stairs but I guess it's time to put one at the bottom as well!)
*He loves playing ball.
*Tyler loves ripping paper- magazines, lining on the table of the doctor's office, etc...!
We are having so much fun with Tyler. Jeff and I both agree that this is a great age and look forward to seeing what he will be doing next!
Happy 10 months Tyler!!

Singer Island

We went to Jeff's parents condo on Singer Island for about a week. Jeff was working there during the week and Tyler and I just played. We had beautiful weather and got to go to the pool and beach. It was Tyler's first time swimming and going to the beach.

What is this stuff?!?

We got to see Jeff's cousin, Justin, and his wife, Alana at the condo for one night while we were there. We went out to dinner with them and then went swimming before they left for the airport.

Tyler loves playing with the dog's crates. We don't use the crates at home but we do at the condo. We just don't trust them entirely to not get into something- especially when it's not our place.

I took Tyler to a place in Palm beach Gardens called "A Latte Fun". It was an indoor playroom and coffee place. He loved jumping with me on the big trampoline and going in the foam pit. I think his favorite part was watching all the kids there! He was the youngest one there and I think he will like it a lot more when he's a little older.
Reading a book...
Even though I couldn't get much of a smile out of him, he really did have fun there. He loved watching all the kids!

At home....

Playing basketball...

Hello Easter Bunny!
We have to be sure to lock the gate because he has figured out how to pull up on the handle and open the gate if it's not locked! Our little trouble-maker!

Peek-a-boo!
Daddy taught me to throw the ball and I love this new game!

9 month pictures... a little late!

We decided to try to take Tyler's 9 month pictures ourselves. (I'm a little late at posting them since he will be 10 months old this coming week.) We started by taking him to the park across the street but we couldn't get him to crack a smile. He has a smirk that he likes to give over a toothy smile these days so I actually think it's kind of cute that we got some of those. That's just him right now. We then tried a few at home and this is what we got. I give photographers a lot of credit... it's not easy! Here are a few of our favorites...
Tyler had his 9 month check up last month. He weighed 21.4 lbs (65%) and was 28.1 inches (45%). He didn't have to get any shots this time so that was really nice. We also had an appointment with the pediatric surgeon after his check-up. He is scheduled to have surgery on April 5th. Even though they say it's pretty routine, we are not looking forward to it!

Look at me... I'm starting to walk by myself!

Tyler is getting better and better at walking. He was just scooting and/or wanting us to hold his hands and walk around the house. Just ask Aunt Kim- she came to babysit for the weekend last month and did a lot of walking. Now, he is starting to crawl on all 4s more and has started taking steps on his own.
Here is a video of him walking last night in Grandma and Grandpa's bedroom at the condo. He's still wobbly but I'm shocked at how much he has improved within the last 2 weeks! Jeff and I have a bet we made a few weeks ago. I said he would be walking in March and he said April. I said I have already won and I still have a couple of weeks to go. I don't win many bets with Jeff so I am hoping I win this one!!

Happy St. Patricks's Day! 2011

We are in Singer Island right now at Jeff's parents condo (even though they are in Michigan). We wish they were here with us! I tried to get a few photos of Tyler and the dogs this morning but this was the best I got... :(
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!
Keely was a little irritated at me because I was promising her a treat and she wasn't getting it fast enough.
"Hi Bella!"
I'm surprised Bella even got this close to him (well I kind of made her). She usually keeps her distance- unless food is involved. :)
The last few were taken at home in Apollo Beach before we came down here to Singer Island. He's always on the go these days...

Max is here!

We officially have another nephew... Max William was born March 10th at 12:48pm. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. We got to Skype them the day after he was born while they were still in the hospital... he's adorable!! Wish we could hold him... hopefully it won't be too long before we can meet him!

Nana's Visit!

Nana came to visit a little over a week ago. We had so much fun seeing her. Jeff was gone for a few of the days so it was just the three of us. :)

Tyler is pulling up on anything he can now.

I set up this play area for Tyler near the kitchen so he could play while I cleaned. Well, it didn't take him long to figure out how to stand up. The floor is pretty hard and he isn't too sturdy so I can't really leave him in there without being right next to him to catch his falls. I wish we had some carpet downstairs. He hasn't quite figured out how to gracefully sit back down. :(

Nana brought me my Valentine's Day gift. :)
Keely is always so nosy! She knows Nana always brings her 'Greenies' so she was probably trying to find them in the bag.
Out to dinner... we had a great time going out to eat many times with Nana!
We miss Nana already but can't wait to see her and the rest of the family (and Jeff's family, too) in Vegas next month!
