Tyler is 4 Months Old Today!

Tyler turned 4 months old today... and he rolled over for the first time!! I put him on his belly this morning and he was so close to rolling over but never made it. I had the video camera out and ready but it never happened. I got a picture of him leaning to one side but he never quite made it all the way. But, this evening when Jeff got home from work, I pulled out a blanket, put him on his belly and he did it! I didn't get it on tape but at least Jeff and I both got to see it.
While we were in Michigan, Jeff got him to laugh for the first time and I did get that on tape... I know I am not going to get everything on tape but I can try! It was so cute to see him laughing. I had found this video online of Elmo doing the slide and he really seemed to like it. Later that day, Jeff was lying on the bed with him, started singing that song and Tyler just started laughing! It definitely made us laugh, too!
He also started sleeping in his crib this week. (He has been sleeping in a pack n' play in our room since he was born.) We started putting him in his crib (in his own room :) ) 2 nights ago. Jeff was out of town so I slept in the guest bedroom upstairs (the master is on the first floor and I didn't know if he would be up all night- so I just decided to sleep up there for the first night). He actually slept pretty well. He slept for 5 hours, then 3 and then another 3. (The last few weeks he has been getting up every 3 hours- ughh). But, last night didn't go as well. He was up every 3 hours again. At least he woke up in a good mood. :) Let's hope tonight goes better than last night.
Tyler has his 4 month doctor's appointment on Monday and I am curious to see how much he has grown. He was at the doctor on September 3 (getting his iron level tested) and weighed 14 pounds. He is getting so big!! And so old... 4 months already!!

Where we called home the last 7 weeks...

This was our home for the last 7 weeks... Jeff and I drove to Michigan the end of July with Tyler, Keely and Bella. We stayed with Jeff's parents in Novi and wanted to bring the dogs with us so we decided to drive. Jeff travels a lot for work so he just came and went from there. It was so nice to be near family and friends for such a long period of time. It was also nice to have some cooler weather... Florida is definitely not our favorite place this time of the year. I think the dogs really liked it there as well. Jeff's parents have a huge backyard that backs up to a wooded area. Although they don't have a fence, we let the dogs run loose several times while we were there. Bella especially loved going into the woods. She would disappear for quite awhile before coming home. It definitely made me nervous but she always came back. Keely usually wasn't quite as daring and wanted to be closer to us. They had such a good time- the only bad thing was having to pick burrs out of their fur when they came back inside. :( The last 2 pictures were taken a few days before we left. While we were eating dinner one night, we looked out the window and there was a doe and her 2 babies... so cute! Luckily the dogs were not out on the deck... Keely definitely would have jumped the gate to greet them. :)
We are back in Apollo Beach and although it's nice to be in our own house, we already miss everyone back in Michigan. It was a long drive but definitely worth it. I have to say... Tyler and the dogs are great travelers! We had so much fun while we were there... wish we could do it more often! We look forward to going back for Christmas this year ( but this time we are flying -- without the dogs)!

Fannon Family Pictures 2010

We finally got a family picture of everyone! This is probably the best one... it's so hard to get all the kids to look at the camera, smile, etc... It's crazy to think that in less than 6 months there will be another little Fannon baby here. We can't wait to find out what Jay and Laura are having... they find out very soon!

Justin & Alana's Wedding!

Justin and Alana got married in East Lansing, Michigan on September 11th. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time! The reception was right on the Michigan State campus. We stayed right at the hotel where the reception was being held. This was the first time Tyler had a babysitter (other than family). He has become more attached to me lately and has been fussy at night so we weren't sure how he would do with Rachel. Kim, Laura and I went up to the room to drop off Justin & Alana's flutes and he was pretty upset and crying. She said he had been pretty good (a little fussy here and there) and when we got home at the end of the night, he was sound asleep.
The next day we went to a brunch with the whole family. Tyler got to meet the rest of the family there since he didn't go to the wedding! It was a great weekend... we were sad to see it end!

Labor Day BBQ (a little late with posting)...

The Murrays (Uncle Brian, Aunt Colleen, Justin, Stephanie, Michael, Peter & Alana) came over to the Fannon's (along with the rest of the Fannon family) for a Labor Day weekend BBQ . The boys all golfed in the morning and then everyone came over for dinner. It was so good to see them and Tyler finally got to meet everyone. They bought Tyler his first set of golf clubs... one day he'll get to golf with the boys but this year he got to hang out at home with the girls. I know Jeff can't wait for the day he can go golfing with him!

Northville Cider Mill

We went to the opening day of the Northville Cider Mill a few weeks ago. It was really crowded but so worth it. It's only open for a few months in the fall and we usually aren't here. It definitely felt like fall that day- it was pretty cool out. Tyler was pretty tired and slept most of the time. The cider was so good and they have the best spice donuts and carmel apples.... I think Tyler was even ready for a bite when we got home- maybe next year!

Night Out in Plymouth

We have had a great time here in Michigan seeing family and friends. Grandma & Grandpa babysat so we could go out with Doug & Lissa and Mike & Kate last week. It was fun to get out and great to see everyone. Wish we could do it more often!

3 months Old!

Just Like Daddy!

One night at dinner Tyler could not take his eyes off the bottle of wine on our table. He kept smiling at it and talking to it... It was pretty funny and a little scary, too!! Just like his Daddy!
