I love trash!!

I left the room for a minute and came back in to find Tyler eating a brownie... the brownies I had thrown away the night before. Ughhhhh!! So gross!! We may have to find a new place for the trashcan because he is constantly going up to it and trying to open it. So much fun!☺

Weekend trip to Michigan...

We went to Michigan for a long weekend in July. Jeff was in California for the week so I drove there with Tyler (& Keely and Bella) and Jeff met us there that night. It was a pretty easy drive... I went during nap time so Tyler slept for a few hours and then watched Alvin and the Chipmunks the rest of the time... It's his new favorite movie! It was our anniversary weekend so Grandma and Grandpa babysat while Jeff and I went to dinner and then dessert! We got to see everyone while we were there even though the weekend seemed to fly by! Can't wait to go back!

One Year Pictures...

We had a hard time getting his pictures done this time. We went in the morning and then tried to go back again in the afternoon after his nap and he still wasn't cooperating. These were the best we got... they are still better than what we would have taken!

Goodbye Mullet!

I had been trying to talk Jeff into taking Tyler to get a haircut but was having no luck... until now! We took him in July and had his mullet cut off!!! He looked so much older but so cute. I don't know if Jeff agreed. He loved it there- they had a TV with Baby Einstein playing that kept him entertained (you can see him watching it in the picture). Jeff says I need to cut his hair from now on....poor guy- don't know what that will look like!

4th of July 2011

We spent the 4th of July here in Naperville.... Tyler loves his new yard and playing outside! It was really hot here but still nice to be outside!

Father's Day 2011

We had a pretty relaxing Father's Day and went to breakfast at Butterfield's right up the street from us. His new word is "Dada" and if I try to get him to say "mama" he says "dada" and laughs. :)

Tyler's First Birthday Party in Michigan

We drove to Michigan over Memorial weekend to celebrate Tyler's first birthday with our Michigan family and friends. It was so much fun to see everyone and we had a great time! The weather ended up being really nice (we were worried about rain but it held off until almost everyone had left!). Once again, Tyler didn't want anything to do with his cake. He didn't even want to try it! Meg and a few of the other little girls at the party came up to his high chair and were taking licks of the icing. We thought he might try it if he saw them doing it but no chance! He hadn't had his nap yet and actually fell asleep about 15 minutes he got out of the high chair. Guess it was bad timing on our part! He still had a great time and we are so glad we got to celebrate with all our family and friends!
